OUR STORY

As two advocates of not-going-to-crowded-places, it is a surprise that our love story begins amidst one millions people packed like sardines on a bar patio in Salt Lake City. Jake, a sworn eternal bachelor, was dragged out by our mutual friend Kevin to Kait’s birthday– yes, the same Kait who had just been on 10 too many tinder dates and sworn off relationships forever. Finding solace in each other’s charmingly pessimistic company, the night was spent huddled in a corner swapping stories, jokes, and eventually, terrible–neé, AMAZING,  Australian accents (obviously this in itself would seal the deal).

Our first summer together was spent in tents and cars, in rivers and lakes, on mountains and trails. With us everywhere was Boom, our beloved 110 lb companion, as well as a guild of supportive friends and family who were welcoming and joyful of our relationship.

The past three and a half years have gone by in a blur of underwater adventures, starlit campouts, international exploration, and watching a laughable number of episodes of the Office. We draw together, snowboard together, work together, travel together, laugh together, eat pizza together, and grow together; now, we are ready to start our lives living out of sin together, and are so joyful to include you in this step in our adventure.
